What the S6 Badge Represents

S6 is Audi's designation for the sport-performance variant of the A6, historically built around a more powerful engine, quattro all-wheel drive, and sportier styling cues than the standard A6. Enthusiasts fit an S6 tailgate badge to signal an S6-spec drivetrain or S-line styling package, or simply to refresh a rear emblem that has faded, cracked, or gone missing after a repaint or trunk lid replacement. The badge offered here is produced independently by Decoinfabric and is not manufactured, distributed, or endorsed by Audi AG - it is a custom, aftermarket accessory made to resemble the factory design.

Placement and Fitment

The S6 emblem is sized and shaped for the rear tailgate/trunk lid, matching the location Audi uses for its own model badges. It attaches with automotive-grade adhesive tape, so no drilling or panel modification is required. Since Audi trunk lid contours differ modestly between generations, confirm your exact A6/S6 model year when ordering so the badge curvature can be matched, or so it can be resized for a different Audi model entirely.

Materials, Finish, and Mounting

These badges are built from rigid ABS plastic or a metal composite and are available in gloss black, chrome, or matte black finishes, with a pre-applied weatherproof adhesive backing. The materials are chosen to hold up to car washes, sun exposure, and highway driving without lifting or fading, similar to a factory-fitted badge.

Before You Order

Measure or photograph the curve of your trunk lid where the badge will sit, and let Decoinfabric know your exact Audi model and year - this helps confirm fitment before production. If an old badge is being removed first, clean off any adhesive residue so the new emblem sits flush. You can also ask about pairing the S6 tailgate badge with a matching grille badge for a coordinated front-and-rear look.

FAQ

Is this a genuine Audi part?

No. This is a custom, aftermarket badge made by Decoinfabric. It is not produced or licensed by Audi AG.

Can this badge fit a different Audi model?

In many cases, yes - the mounting approach is similar across Audi tailgates. Tell Decoinfabric your model and year when ordering so sizing can be confirmed.

How is the badge attached?

It uses a pre-applied automotive adhesive pad, so no drilling is needed. Surface prep (cleaning and drying the panel) is recommended before installation.
