GLS 450 Logo Emblems

What the GLS 450 Badge Represents

The GLS 450 designation identifies the mild-hybrid inline-six configuration within Mercedes-Benz's GLS lineup, sitting below the GLS 580 and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 in the range. Since the badge is one of the first things visible on the rear tailgate, it plays a real role in how the vehicle is identified at a glance, and it is also one of the more commonly damaged or lost pieces of trim over years of car washes and light impacts. Owners often replace it simply to restore a clean factory-style look, or upgrade it with a different finish for a more custom appearance.

Placement and Fitment

This badge is designed to mount on the tailgate in the location Mercedes-Benz uses for its GLS trim scripts, offered here in the "MIXT" mixed finish style. Because subtle differences exist between GLS model years and trims, measure your existing mounting footprint (or the outline left by a missing badge) and confirm your exact model year before ordering so we can match hole spacing and proportions.

Materials, Finish, and Mounting

We build these emblems from durable ABS or metal-backed composite, in chrome, gloss black, matte, or the mixed two-tone finish shown, and mount them using factory-style adhesive pads or push pins so no permanent drilling is required. Because every badge is custom-made, we can also adjust the finish to complement other black-out or chrome trim already on your GLS.

Before You Order

Confirm your exact GLS trim and model year, measure the available tailgate space, and decide whether you want a stock-matching finish or a custom color combination. This is an aftermarket accessory, not manufactured or endorsed by Mercedes-Benz AG, and should not be represented as an OEM replacement part.

Matching GLS Trim Badging Across the SUV

Mercedes-Benz places trim badging in more than one location on the GLS, and many owners choose to update the tailgate script together with the front fender or door sill badging so the whole vehicle reads consistently. If your GLS has aftermarket black-out trim, tinted taillights, or a Brabus or Wald-style body kit already installed, tell us so we can recommend a finish that complements rather than fights with the rest of the exterior. Lead times for fully custom tailgate emblems are typically a small number of business days once the design is confirmed, since each piece is fabricated to order rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf. We are also glad to rework the proportions slightly if your particular GLS model year uses a narrower or wider badge mounting area than the standard template, which does happen across the GLS's long production run.
