What the A5 Badge Represents

The A5 nameplate marks Audi's mid-size coupe, Sportback, and cabriolet lineup, sitting between the A4 and A6 in Audi's numbering scheme. The lettering itself is simple, but placement, proportion, and finish all affect how it reads on a rear tailgate, which is why buyers often look for a custom fit rather than a generic sticker badge. Since the A5 spans multiple body styles across more than one generation, tailgate shape and curvature are not identical from year to year, which is part of why a made-to-order emblem tends to sit flush more reliably than an off-the-shelf badge.

Placement and Fitment

Tailgate and Trunk Mounting

The featured product is a rear 3D emblem intended for the tailgate or trunk lid, using adhesive backing or factory-style mounting pins depending on the original hole pattern on your A5 generation.

Materials and Finish

Decoinfabric produces these emblems in the MIXT finish shown (a mixed gloss/matte or dual-tone treatment), along with gloss black, chrome, and color-matched paint options on request. The base material is chosen for weather resistance so the badge holds its finish through sun, rain, and regular washing.

Installation Notes

Before installing, the tailgate surface should be cleaned and degreased so the adhesive or mounting pins seat properly. If you are replacing an existing A5 badge, Decoinfabric can match the emblem's footprint to your current mounting holes, or supply a solid-backed version if you prefer to fill the old holes and use adhesive only.

Why Choose a Custom Emblem

Factory Audi badges can fade, chip, or lift at the edges over years of exposure, and replacement OEM parts are not always readily available or affordable for every A5 generation. A custom-made emblem gives you a fresh option in the finish of your choice, whether you want to restore the factory look, upgrade to a different finish like gloss black or chrome delete styling, or simply replace a damaged badge without waiting on dealer parts. This is also a common choice for owners doing a full chrome-delete or blackout exterior refresh who want every badge on the car to match.

Before You Order

Confirm your A5 generation and body style (sedan, Sportback, coupe, cabriolet) since tailgate curvature and existing mounting holes can differ. Also specify finish and whether you want the emblem to replace an existing badge or apply over it.
