The Hyundai Kona is Hyundai's subcompact crossover SUV, launched in 2017 and now in its 2nd generation (SX2, 2023+). The Kona 2nd gen is available with a 2.0L Smartstream inline-4 (147 hp), 1.6L T-GDi (198 hp), Kona Hybrid (141 hp combined), and the fully electric Kona Electric with either 48 hp (standard range) or 204 hp (long range, 490 km WLTP). The Kona N (2021) with a turbocharged 2.0L producing 280 hp was one of the first hot crossovers to offer a genuine high-performance experience in the subcompact SUV body. The Kona Electric consistently wins segment awards for range efficiency and value. Over 1 million Konas have been sold globally since launch.
