The Volvo XC40 is Volvo's subcompact luxury crossover, launched in 2017 as the brand's entry-level model on the new CMA platform developed in partnership with Geely. The XC40 won the 2018 European Car of the Year - the first Volvo to win the award since the original XC90 in 2003. Available with 1.5T (156 hp), 2.0T B4 (197 hp), 2.0T B5 (250 hp), and the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric (231-408 hp) with 82 kWh battery and up to 533 km WLTP range. The XC40 Recharge was the fastest-charging Volvo EV and one of the first cars to offer Google Android Automotive OS as the native infotainment system. The XC40 features the innovative Clean Zone interior - using dual air filters, air quality monitor, and PM2.5 fine particle filtration - creating a healthier cabin environment than most hospital-grade air systems.
