Power Liftgate Kit for the Ford Taurus

Power Liftgate Options for the Ford Taurus

2 power liftgate kits are listed for the Ford Taurus, split by listed fitment. The kits are listed separately because their fitment data differs between these versions. Select the product matching your vehicle rather than assuming the versions are interchangeable.

Confirming the Right Version

Before ordering, check your Taurus's documentation for its production year or generation. If your vehicle sits near a boundary between listed versions, review both product pages or reach out to confirm the correct kit.

Available Kit Configurations

Available options vary by vehicle and product. Depending on the version selected, the Taurus kit may include automatic open and close operation, a foot-sensor trigger, or a soft-close function; check the individual product page for the exact configuration offered.

How the System Can Be Controlled

Selected kits support control through the original key fob, a tailgate button, or a driver-area button; a foot sensor may also be available depending on the configuration. Control methods depend on the selected kit and vehicle configuration.

Confirm Compatibility Before Ordering

Before ordering, confirm the production year or generation of your Taurus, its trim, and the current tailgate configuration. This is especially important if your vehicle falls near a fitment boundary.

Installation Requirements

Installation on the Taurus is vehicle-specific and can include electrical stays, a control module, wiring, buttons, and a lock or soft-close unit, depending on the kit. Not every kit includes all of these elements - check the product page for what is included with your selected version.
