What ES250 Designates

ES250 refers to the 2.5-liter V6 engine variant within the Lexus ES lineup, a naming convention used on recent ES generations alongside the 350 (3.5L) and hybrid 300h models. The ES has long been Lexus's comfort-focused mid-size sedan, positioned as a quieter, more relaxed alternative to sportier models like the IS, which is part of why owners take pride in a correctly badged trunk lid.

Fitment Across ES Generations

Trunk lid curvature differs between generations such as the XV60 and XV70, so confirm your exact generation and year when ordering.

Materials and Mounting

Chrome ABS lettering and numerals on a resin backing plate, applied with automotive-grade adhesive. A black-out finish is available as well, popular on ES models with darker exterior colors.

Before You Order

Confirm your ES generation, your preferred finish, and whether an existing badge needs removing first.

Common Fitment Mistakes to Avoid

Ordering a badge without confirming the exact ES generation is the most frequent error, since trunk lid curvature and existing mounting points differ between the XV60 and XV70 body styles. Skipping proper surface cleaning before installation is another common mistake; leftover wax, sealant, or silicone residue can prevent the adhesive from bonding fully, leading to premature lifting at the corners.

Installation and Care

Clean the trunk lid with isopropyl alcohol to remove wax and adhesive residue, position the badge against reference marks or existing mounting points, and press firmly along its length, allowing at least 24 hours for the adhesive to cure before washing. Afterward, hand wash and avoid pressure-washing directly at the edges to prevent lifting.

Why a Custom Badge Instead of a Generic Reproduction

Trunk lid curvature differs between ES generations, so a one-size reproduction badge can leave gaps or sit unevenly. Building to order lets us match your specific generation, produce the exact trim wording you want, and finish it to match the rest of your car's trim.
