Mustang 5.2 Logo LED-Kühlergrill-Emblem

What the 5.2 Badge Represents

The 5.2L designation covers the flat-plane-crank Voodoo V8 in the Shelby GT350 and the supercharged Predator V8 in the GT500, two of the highest-output engines Ford has offered in a Mustang. Owners use 5.2 badging to flag this engine choice on the grille, similar to how Coyote badges mark the standard GT's 5.0L V8. The Voodoo and Predator engines share displacement but differ significantly in architecture and power delivery, so some owners specify which variant they are referencing when customizing their badge.

Placement and Fitment

Grille Mounting

The featured emblem is designed to mount in the Mustang's radiator grille opening, in the location typically used for engine displacement or performance badging.

Materials, Lighting, and Finish

Decoinfabric builds this as an illuminated LED badge with a durable housing, offering white, blue, or red LED options along with gloss black or chrome trim. The housing is sealed to resist moisture and debris at the front of the vehicle.

Wiring and Power

Installation typically taps into an existing accessory, parking light, or daytime running light circuit, and Decoinfabric can supply a basic wiring harness to make the process straightforward. Owners less comfortable with electrical work may prefer to have a shop complete the final hookup.

Voodoo vs Predator, Badge Considerations

While both engines share the 5.2L displacement figure, the naturally aspirated Voodoo in the GT350 and the supercharged Predator in the GT500 have distinct visual and mechanical identities, and some owners prefer a badge design or LED color that subtly nods to which engine they are referencing. Decoinfabric can adjust LED color and trim finish to help differentiate a GT350-inspired build from a GT500-inspired one if that distinction matters to you. Some buyers also request this badge purely as a styling choice on a standard GT, independent of which V8 is actually under the hood, which Decoinfabric can accommodate as well.
