The Lincoln MKX was Lincoln's midsize luxury crossover (2006-2018), developed alongside the Ford Edge and positioned as Lincoln's core mid-range SUV offering in the period when Lincoln was rebuilding its luxury credentials. The 2nd generation MKX (CD4, 2015-2018) received a completely new exterior and interior design under the new Lincoln design language, featuring a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 (335 hp), Co-Pilot360 driver assist, available air suspension, and Lincoln's first 10-speaker Revel Ultima audio system. The MKX Reserve trim with first and second-row ventilated seats, panoramic roof, and active noise cancellation was regarded as genuinely competitive with BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE for interior refinement. The MKX was renamed the Nautilus in 2019 for better global brand consistency.
