Opel Grandland X LED-Einstiegsleisten mit Logo

What Grandland X Badges

Grandland X is Opel's name for its mid-size crossover SUV, sold in the UK and other right-hand-drive markets as the Vauxhall Grandland X, since Opel and Vauxhall share the same vehicles under different badging in different regions. The "X" suffix has since been dropped on later facelifts, making the Grandland X badge a marker of the earlier 2017-2021 model years specifically.

LED Door Sill Placement and Function

These sill plates fit over the door sill/threshold area at each door opening, lighting up the Grandland X wordmark when the door is opened, similar to illuminated sill kits offered on other crossover and SUV models. They typically wire into the door-open circuit or a courtesy light feed, giving a premium-look welcome effect without needing to run new switches.

Materials and Installation

Decoinfabric builds these sills from stainless steel or aluminum with a laser-etched or backlit acrylic logo panel, powered by LEDs wired to the vehicle's existing door-triggered lighting circuit. Because each set is made to order, sizing is matched to the Grandland X's sill dimensions, and installation typically involves removing the factory sill trim and connecting a light feed.

Before You Order

Confirm your exact model year and trim, since sill plate dimensions and factory trim shapes can shift between facelifts, and check whether your Grandland X has an existing courtesy light feed to tap into or whether a separate power source will be needed. This is an aftermarket, custom-made accessory - it is not manufactured, sold, or endorsed by Opel, Vauxhall, or Stellantis.
