What Is a Hood Strut Kit?

A hood strut kit is a set of gas struts (hood lift supports) that hold the hood open on their own. It replaces the manual prop rod, so you do not have to prop the hood by hand.

Complete Vehicle-Specific Installation Kits

Every hood strut kit in this section is a complete vehicle-specific installation kit, not a bare replacement strut. Each kit is supplied with the gas strut(s), vehicle-specific mounting brackets and hardware, and a vehicle-specific installation guide - a DIY-oriented complete solution designed to install in up to 30 minutes using factory mounting points, with no drilling and no body modification.

Each kit is matched to a specific vehicle and is designed to install using the factory mounting points for that model. Match your brand, model and production year against the product listing before ordering.
