The Jaguar E-PACE is Jaguar's subcompact luxury crossover, launched in 2017 as the brand's entry-level SUV to compete with BMW X1, Audi Q3, and Mercedes GLA. Built on JLR's L551 platform (derived from Range Rover Evoque), the E-PACE is available with 2.0L Ingenium inline-4 in petrol (150-300 hp) and diesel (150-240 hp) versions, plus the E-PACE P300e PHEV (309 hp combined, 55 km EV range). The E-PACE was designed with a strong family resemblance to the iconic F-TYPE sports car - the squircle air vents, driving position, and cockpit-style console were directly inspired by the F-TYPE. In a memorable 2017 launch event, the E-PACE performed a barrel roll - setting a world record for the longest barrel roll by a car at 15.3 meters.
